EXAMINATION AND ANALYSIS OF GLASS BEADS FROM WAKERLEY.

Beads from a number of female burials at the Pagan Saxoncemetery site at Wakerley were examined. The beads werea range of shapes and colours and varied fromtranslucent to opaque. They were analysed qualitativelyto determine the range of colourants and decolourantsused in their production.
