Circle of Stones within Rey Cross Roman Camp: archaeological survey report

In 1987 RCHME undertook an archaeological investigation and analytical field survey of the supposed stone circle within the Roman camp at Rey Cross, County Durham. The investigation concluded that whether the stones represent a prehistoric ritual site or whether their form is the result of human agency at all remains doubtful.
