The Nineteenth-Century, Curvilinear Lean-to Glasshouse Range at Felton Park, Felton, Northumberland

Author(s): Harry Beamish

An evaluation of the local context, possible date and manufacturer, and rarity of the listed grade II* listed structure carried out as part of Historic England’s Heritage at Risk project in 2016. The Felton glasshouse and potting shed range are an interesting and rare survival from a period of great developments in horticulture and horticultural technological improvement. The report includes a gazetteer of other curvilinear glasshouses. Also see research report 5/2013 on the chemical analysis of the window glass.
