ASSESSMENT OF SOIL EVIDENCE FROM TINTWISTLE MOOR

Particle size analysis and micromorphology were used to detail two soil profiles under peat on the Kinderscout Grit of Tintwistle Moor. The analyses suggest that flint scatters, located in the soils at both profiles, cannot be considered as in-situ, but one group has not been transported any great distance.
