WROXETER: GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY, 1990

Author(s): Andrew David, Andy Payne

Geophysical survey over the find-spot of an item of Roman silverware is described. Although there is some positive magnetic and resistivity evidence for significant buried features in the vicinity, neither this, nor the findings of a metal detector survey, have established the archaeological context of the original find. This would be best achieved by test excavation.
