BOXGROVE PRIORY, WEST SUSSEX: REPORT ON GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY, MAY 2001

Author(s): Louise Martin, Paul Linford

Magnetometer and earth resistance surveys were conducted over a total area of ~0.15ha on the site of the claustral buildings at Boxgrove Priory, West Sussex, in an attempt to locate and define any underlying structural remains. The resistivity survey provided the best results, indicating the location of what is thought to have been the Brewhouse and several rubble spreads, all of which are likely to be fairly near the surface.
