Bowland Fringe and Pendle Hill, Upland and Upland Fringe

Bowland Fringe, and Pendle Hill to its south, is a transitional landscape, wrapping around the Bowland Fells. It is bounded on the north by the River Lune and on the south by the River Ribble. All of the Bowland Fells and around 52% of Bowland Fringe and Pendle Hill fall within the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
