Iron Age and Roman Pottery from the Chapel Street, Chichester, 1984 Excavations

Thin section analysis allowed the identification of a grog-tempered jar, possibly 'East Sussex ware', and closely modelled on black-burnished ware forms. Sherds of possible Iron Age 'briquetage' were also sectioned and a local origin suggested.
