ARCHAEOMAGNETIC DATING: ST PETER'S CHURCH, EYNSHAM, OXFORD

During an excavation on the site of St Peter's Church, Eynsham, three distinct areas of burnt stone were discovered and subsequently sampled for archaeomagnetic dating. The features produced results suggesting that the hearths formed a chronological series dating from the Saxon period onwards.
