A PETROLOGICAL NOTE ON SOME PREHISTORIC POTTERY FROM ST. MARY'S, CLERKENWELL, LONDON

Author(s): D F Williams

A small programme of thin sectioning Iron Age sherds from St. Mary's showed that one of the sherds contained sandstone and two of them frequent glauconitic pellets, suggesting importation to the site from some distance away. The remainder of the material was probably made from the local Brickearth/ London Clay.
