THE GLASS FROM SITE 95, WHARRAM PERCY, YORKSHIRE

Author(s): Justine Bayley

Two small pieces of window glass from a context dated to the Anglian abandonment of the site were analysed using the SEM in an attempt to date them. They were high lime, low alkalai potash glass, a composition most closely parallelled in the medieval period and unknown in the 8th century.
