Bird bones from the quayside, Queen Street, Newcastle-upon-Tyne were examined. The remains were dated from the early 13th to the 19th century, with the majority being from the mid-14th to early 17th century. Most of the bones were of domestic fowl and domestic goose but several wild species were also represented, generally by single bones.
