Marshwood Castle, Dorset: a Level 1 survey

Author(s): Mark Bowden

In July 2005 English Heritage undertook a Level 1 archaeological investigation of Marshwood Castle, suggesting reinterpretation of the site as a late medieval quadrangular castle rather than a motte-and-bailey as recorded in the existing literature. (This report was originally numbered 14/2005 in the Archaeological Investigation Series.)
