Firle Place, Firle, East Sussex

The western half of the building was built in the early 16th century by Sir John Gage, who was Constable of the Tower during the reign of Henry VIII. The Eastern half of this mansion dates back to the 18th century. The eastern extension was made possible because of the funds given by the first Viscount Gage.
