Numbers 1-9 High Street and 12 Middle Street with the Sunday School in the foreground. This terrace of five houses built circa 1850 from sandstone ashlar with slate roofs. No.1 was the birthplace (in 1869) of Lawrence Binyon, who wrote the poem 'For the Fallen' ('They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old...').
