Remains of Black Friars Priory, School Street, Ipswich, Suffolk

Here is the remains of Blackfriars priory. It was founded in 1263 on land gifted by Henry III. It was demolished almost 200 years later during the reign of Henry VIII . The only surviving remains of the Priory, is the refectory (dining room), which stood on this site.
