Grade I listed parish church built 1862 for Sir Stanley Marling. Designed by G F Bodley and one of his most important early works, of great significance in the development of High Victorian architecture. Fine stained glass commissioned from manufacturers Morris, Marshall & Faulkner remain the only complete ecclesiastical glazing by this firm in existence. Some were designed by William Morris himself, others by Edward Burne-Jones, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Ford Maddox Brown and Phillip Webb.
