Grade I listed parish church built 1862 for Sir Stanley Marling. Designed by G F Bodley and one of his most important early works, of great significance in the development of High Victorian architecture. Fine stained glass commissioned from manufacturers Morris, Marshall and Faulkner remain the only complete ecclesiastical glazing by this firm in existence. Some were designed by William Morris himself, others by Edward Burne-Jones, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Ford Maddox Brown and Phillip Webb.
