All Saints, Derby Road

All Saints, Derby Road, Risley, Derbyshire DE72 3SU View on map

Elizabethan church consecrated in 1632, one of six built during the reign of Elizabeth 1. The rood screen is possibly the earliest post Reformation screen in England. A square nave, north aisle added in 1841, carillon of eight bells housed in the leaning tower.

26 March - 1 October: Saturdays 10am - 4pm. At other times by prior arrangement.


Junction 25 M1 (1 mile) then A52 towards Derby. Rail: Derby (7 miles), Nottingham (9 miles). Bus: Rainbow No 14 (Derby to Nottingham - every 20 minutes).
