Elizabethan church consecrated in 1632, one of six built during the reign of Elizabeth 1. The rood screen is possibly the earliest post Reformation screen in England. A square nave, north aisle added in 1841, carillon of eight bells housed in the leaning tower.

Opening Arrangements
The church will be open on either a Saturday 10am - 4pm or a Sunday 11am - 5pm over the weekends from Saturday 24th March to Sunday September 23rd 2018. A notice by the gates will be placed to identify the church as being open. At other times by prior arrangement

Junction 25 M1 (1 mile), at the roundabout take the road signed Risley. Turn left at traffic lights, church is 0.5 miles on the right. Rail: Derby (7 miles), Nottingham (9 miles). Bus: Rainbow No i4 (Derby to Nottingham - every 20 minutes).
