Parish church in Early English style built 1847-9 by John Dobson. Revd Alexander Boddy, vicar from 1886 to 1922 was a founder of the Pentecostal movement. Interior contains original pews with shaped ends, Gothic pulpit, WWII font of polished limestone and high quality stained glass.

February - November: Monday 10am - 2.30pm, Thursday 9.30am - 11.30am and the second Saturday of each month 9.30am - 11.30am.


Off A1018 Newcastle Road at Wheatsheaf near Stadium of Light Football Ground, into Roker Avenue, left at supermarket into Fulwell Road. Rail: Sunderland Central (1½ miles). Metro: Stadium of Light (¼ mile). Bus: Nos E6 and 23.
