Ancient church pre 1312. Stranton church is a mixture of styles and stonework. There is some Saxon stonework in the nave. The oldest part of the building is the 12th century semi-circular arch in the east end. The church has an Abbot and Smith organ (1889).
From 1 April 2016- open Tuesdays 2.00pm- 4.00pm and on Saturdays 10.00am- 12.00pm. On Sundays the church is open between services 9.30am- 10.15am and 12.00pm- 12.30pm. If people want to visit at other times they can contact the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 01429 233609.

Stranton Church is at the far end (east) of Elwick Road, coming into town on the A689. The church is diagonally opposite Tesco. Rail: Hartlepool Railway Station (0.5miles) Bus stops on York Road (LMP Motors) 200-300 yards away including No 1 from town centre.
