Opened in 1822 replacing the old church two miles to the west, which was of wooden construction with wooden spire. Using materials from the old church including the carved stone heads and windows. It is also possible the font came from the old church.

Directions
A52 from Boston or Skegness, from Skegness come through town over railway church on the left. From Boston go over the bridge over the river, go past the brewery on the left, in 150 yards the church is on your right. Rail: Wainfleet (40 yards). Bus: Hourly from Boston and Skegness.
