13th century castle ruin, consolidated in 2011. Stands in a 19 acre site alongside the river Sowe. The whole site is a scheduled monument. Buried remains of a Saxon settlement, the ruins of Bagot's Castle and ruins of an 18th century gazebo and remains of a WWII tank testing site. Education Visitors Centre with display of artefacts and children's trails.
1st April - 29th October 2017 at weekends, 12pm-5pm. All Bank Holidays 12pm-5pm. Visiting outside opening times by appointment through website: http://www.bagotscastle.org.uk
