The chapel was built in 1754 as a general Baptist place of worship. It is a very small building with many original features. It has a small but very active congregation. Visitors are welcome to enjoy a tranquil haven in a busy village.

Opening Arrangements

Open 10am to 4pm on 1st and 2nd Saturdays every month; Wednesdays during school holidays. Any alterations to times will be published on the website: Anybody travelling from a distance or who wants to visit for a specific historical reason or who would like the Chapel opening at a time outside of the above hours should call Stuart Coupe on 01403 260046 to arrange a visit.


Follow signs to Billingshurst library and use fee-paying carpark. Lakers Meadow is adjacent to library and we are 2 minutes' walk along this road. Billingshurst railway station is approx. ¾ mile. No 100 bus service from Horsham runs hourly to Billingshurst.
