Former chapel, 1680-83, to Boone's almshouses which were demolished in 1877. The Grade I listed chapel was removed from the buildings at risk register following completion of repairs and conversion in 2008. Open days coincide with small exhibitions. (The grounds of the adjoining Merchant Taylors almshouses are not open to the public). Additional website:


Opening Arrangements

Opening days to be confirmed between 29 April and 16 September, 1pm - 5pm. Will be open for Open House London 2017.


On the A20 between Lewisham and Lee (opposite Old Road). Rail: Blackheath (10 minutes), Lewisham and Hither Green (15 minutes), Lee (20 minutes). Bus: routes 122, 178, 261 and 321 stop at Bandram Road.

Red route parking restrictions: (10am - 4pm: 20 minutes Monday - Saturday, 1 hour parking in side roads).
