Boxley Abbey Hospitium, Boxley Abbey

Boxley Abbey Hospitium, Boxley Abbey, Sandling, Maidstone, Kent ME14 3BT View on map

Hospiteum to Boxley Abbey. The building probably dates from the 12th century, but a new roof in the scissor truss style was added in the late 14th century, presumably when the building was enlarged to cope with the extra pilgrim traffic. The barn is nearly 200ft long.
