Hospiteum to Boxley Abbey. The building probably dates from the 12th century, but a new roof in the scissor truss style was added in the late 14th century, presumably when the building was enlarged to cope with the extra pilgrim traffic. The barn is nearly 200ft long.

From M20 junction 6 take Jondling Road. Then left into old Chatham Road, this becomes Boxley Lane, pass under the motorway then take 2nd right turn. Rail: Maidstone East (2 miles)
