Christ Church, Church Street

Christ Church is a large church designed by Benjamin Ferrey and built 1853-54. Constructed of squared Bathgate stone; steeply pitched roof with clay tiles. Main feature is the West Tower and Spire with angled buttresses and stair turret.


Opening Arrangements

The church is open 7 days per week, from 09.30 am to 3.30 pm.


Church is in the centre of Esher, prominently sited at the top of Esher Hill and on the South side of Esher village green. It stands on the A244 between the A3 and Walton-on-Thames. Sandown Racecourse and Exhibition Centre is nearby. Railway stations; Esher about 1 mile, Claygate about 1 and 1/2 miles. Bus route - K3 between Surbiton and Esher.
