Christ Church, Harley Road
Christ Church, Harley Road, Cressage, Shropshire SY5 6DF View on map
Grade II listed parish church built in 1841 by Edward Haycock to replace the demolished church of St Sampson. Interior has east window containing mid 19th century glass by David Evans of Shrewsbury. Octagonal pulpit dated 1635 was made from re-used panelling in the former church. The circular Romanesque style font is said to be a copy of that in St Sampson.
The church will be open for at least 40 days a year but dates are yet to be decided. It is likely that the majority of the days that the church will be open will fall over the summer to make opening and locking up safer for volunteers.
