Christ Church was built in 1848 by Dickson and Breakspear for the Church Commissioners. Nave with clerestory, aisles and transepts; chancel flanked by side chapel and vestry. 4-bay nave and aisles, weathered buttresses and porch in bay 1. Gabled transepts. West bellcote. Cusped lancet windows and trefoil clerestory windows.
