Grand triple entrance archway to Birkenhead Park, with two-storey lodges on either side. Dated 1847, by L.Hornblower and J.Robertson for Sir Joseph Paxton. Full-height coupled Ionic columns which also continue across the flanking lodges. Balustraded parapet. Listed Grade II.


Opening Arrangements

April - September: Friday, tour 2 - 3pm. At other times by prior arrangement. Heritage Open Days: September 12noon - 4pm.
