1860-1 by Clegg and Knowles. The first purpose built Greek Orthodox church in Great Britain which was funded from donations by Greek merchants and immigrants from the island of Chios. Its iconostasis is adorned by 19th century icons painted in 1863 by the Greek painter Theodore Vryzakis.


Opening Arrangements

Monday to Friday 9am - 1pm except July; Saturdays 9.30am - 2pm; Sundays 10am - 1.30pm.


On the A56 - the major route joining north and south Greater Manchester. Rail: Manchester Victoria (I mile). Bus: Nos X41, 98, 96 and X43.
