1860-1 by Clegg & Knowles. The first purpose built Greek Orthodox church in Great Britain which was funded from donations by Greek merchants and immigrants from the island of Chios. Its iconostasis is adorned by 19th century icons painted in 1863 by the Greek painter Theodore Vryzakis.
August to June, Monday 9am - 12pm, Friday 3pm - 6pm. September to June Saturday 10am - 1pm.
On the A56 - the major route joining north and south Greater Manchester. Rail: Manchester Victoria (I mile). Bus: No's X41, 98, 96 and X43.
