Built c1400 and used as a home, office and court for the Archbishop of York's bailiff who administered Hexhamshire from the Hall. The former stores on the ground floor are now an art gallery, the first floor courtroom houses The Woodhorn Trust's offices and the second floor hall is used for community activities.
Courtroom and second floor are open for community activities six days a week during school term time- ranging from talks, concerts, book launches and guided tours. The building is open for Heritage Open Days 7th-10th September 2017.
