Grade I listed church, founded in 1220 with spire added in 1360. Early English in style with fine late Victorian re ordering to include oak spiral staircase, richly carved pulpit and reredos in oak and lime. Frosterley marble effigy c1310 . Pre civil war chancel screen, puritan brasses and Lewis organ.
April - June and during September: Thursday 10.30am - 4.30pm; July - August: Sunday 12pm - 6pm. Heritage Open Days opening hours: Thursday 6th September 10.30am - 4.30pm; Friday 7th September 2pm - 8pm; Saturday 8th September 10am - 4pm and Sunday 9th September 12pm - 6pm.
