Howden Minster, Market Place

Grade I listed large Minster church built between the 13th and 15th centuries with ruined choir and chapterhouse. Interior has Very fine decorated 14th century pulpitum screen and Saltemarsh chapel. Modern choir restored in 1932 using Thompson oak furnishings following a fire in 1929.

M62, A614 in Howden Town centre. Access to the church is via the west door on Corn Market Hill. Rail: Howden (2 miles). Bus: EYMS route 155/156 from Hull and Goole, Arriva service no 4 from Selby and Goole. Railway station at Howden 1.4 miles from the Minster. Please note there is no bus service from the station.
