Grade I listed Country House. 18th century core, refurbished by sir John Soane 1790 -99 for Godfrey Thornton. Further alteration by Soane for Thornton's son Stephen between 1806 and 1811. Set in 33 acre parkland originally landscaped by Humphrey Repton.

Opening Arrangements

Currently closed due to Covid-19. House Tours hope to start on a Wednesday and Sunday later this year. Visitors are asked to book in advance and meet in the Courtyard from 2.15pm. Tours start at 2.30pm prompt and last about an hour. Please see website for further updates.
