Grade I listed Country House. 18th century core, refurbished by sir John Soane 1790 -99 for Godfrey Thornton. Further alteration by Soane for Thornton's son Stephen between 1806 and 1811. Set in 33 acre parkland originally landscaped by Humphrey Repton.
House tours available Sundays and Wednesdays, March to 28 October at 2.30pm(some exceptions apply). Grounds open throughout the year 10am - 5pm.
