Grade II* listed lofts and cellars for the pilchard fishing industry, built in phases during the 19th century. Artists started moving into the net lofts in the 1880s, since then it has been central to the history and development of the artists' colony at St Ives. Still used by fishermen and artists.

Moffat Lindner Room open from Spring daily during normal office hours. Borlase Smart room open daily if not otherwise in use. Maritime Artist open Wednesdays during summer. Open studios in May and September.

Directions

Porthmeor beach about 200 metres from Tate St Ives. Nearest car parks are the Sloop, Island, Porthmeor and Barnoon. Rail: St Ives (half mile). Bus: shuttle bus serves Tate St Ives during the summer, about 200 metres away.
