Grade II* listed lodge of 1836 by John Dobson for Newcastle General Cemetery Company. The South Lodge is utilised as a base for the many activities of the Friends of Jesmond Old Cemetery voluntary group.
The lodge is open to the public on the first Saturday and third Sunday of every month from 10am- 1pm; members of the Friends group are always present during opening times. Additionally, the Friends group participate in the Jesmond Community Festival , held each May, where we host a number of heritage tours. Tours are also offered over the Heritage Open Days Weekend (13th-16th September 2018) and bespoke tours are also arranged for interested groups by contacting us on 07936534084 or emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and making arrangements to suit individual requirements.
