Grade II listed lodge of 1836 by John Dobson for Newcastle General Cemetery Company. The South Lodge is utilised as a base for the many activities of the Friends of Jesmond Old Cemetery voluntary group.


Opening Arrangements

The lodge is open to the public on the first Saturday and third Sunday of every month. The Friends group participate in the Jesmond Community Festival each year in May when heritage tours are offered as well as access to the lodge. Tours are also offered over the Heritage Open Days Weekend (8th-11th September 2016). Check the website for up to date opening hours.
