St Andrew, Hampton Bishop, Hereford HR1 4JX View on map

Grade I listed Norman church with a half timbered tower. Much of the fabric is 12th century with later alterations and additions. Notable features include an early stone reredos and medieval roof timbers. The Nicholson & Lord organ was played by Sir Edward Elgar. Churchyard cross and memorial slabs commemorating the Whittington family. Camm memorial window.

Daily, 9am-4pm.


The church is about 200m from the car park, off the road through the village. The church is visible and signposted. Rail: Leominster (5 miles). Bus: Leominster to Presteigne and Kington services 493, 495, 496, 497, about 9 services each way per week day.
