12th century parish church built over an ancient Christian site. Jacobean pews and memorials to Adam Sedgwick the geologist and the Sill family involved in the slave trade in the 18th century.

Road: Dent is 5 miles from Sedbergh and 10 miles east of junction 37 of M6. Rail: Dent station 4 and a half miles from the village. Bus: Wednesday and Saturday only
