St Bartholomew, Chosen Hill, Churchdown, Gloucestershire GL3 2LG View on map

Grade I listed parish church in a prominent position on the hill at Churchdown. Originating from the 12th century with later additions and restored mid 19th century by Ewan Christian. Notable features include a Priest’s room over the north entrance, carved oak pulpit of 1631 and a Medieval font.


Opening Arrangements

April to September: Saturdays, Bank Holidays, third Sunday of each month, fifth Sunday of each month: 10:30am to 4:30pm


On the summit of Churchdown Hill ('Chosen Hill') approximately ½ mile from the centre of Churchdown village. Rail: Gloucester (5 miles), Cheltenham (5 miles). Bus: Routes 97 and 98 from either Gloucester or Cheltenham. (½ mile walk from 'The Old Elm Inn' bus stop).
