St Bartholomew, Newport Road, Tong, Shropshire TF11 8PW View on map

Grade I listed parish church founded in 1410 and built for Elizabeth de Pembruge in Perpendicular gothic style with centrally placed octagonal tower. Restored 1889 - 92 by Ewan Christian. West window is of Mediaeval glass and the east is by Kempe. Noted misericords and panelling from Oberammergau. Eight bells dating from 1467 hung on two levels including Great bell weighing 50cwt.
