St Bartholomew, Welby

St Bartholomew, Welby, Lincolnshire NG32 3LS View on map

Grade I listed 12th century limestone church with broached spire, extended in 14th and 15th centuries. Chancel rebuilt in 1872 by Hakewell. The rood screen was restored in 1948 and is a good example of 15th century woodwork in south-west Lincolnshire.


Opening Arrangements

All year: Fridays 10am - 4pm. At other times by key holders (details on notice board in church porch).


In the centre of Welby village, 5 miles NE of Grantham, signposted from A52 and B6403. Rail: Grantham (East Coast line, 5 miles). Bus: No Bus Service.
