Landmark stone church built in 1841 with a large steeple. Many original features including box pews and fine stained glass windows. Noted for its very tall pulpit and fine organ.


Opening Arrangements

Monthly: 1st and 3rd Tuesday 9.30am - 11.30am and 1.15pm - 3.15pm; 2nd, 4th and 5th Tuesday 9.30am - 11.30am. Sundays 9.30am - 10.45am, 11.30am - 12.15pm.


Off Scholefield Lane, less than 1 mile east of Wigan town centre. 100 metres from roundabout on A577. Tall spire visible from many parts of Wigan centre. Rail: Wigan Wallgate/Wigan North Western (1 mile). Bus: Nos 575, 576, 614, 715, 540 and 598. 630 passes the church.
