St David, Ashprington

St David, Ashprington, South Hams, Devon TQ9 7UP View on map

Grade I listed parish church with 14th century west tower, remainder re-built in 15th century and restored during 19th century. The sandstone 12th century Norman font has a carved frieze, cable and roll mouldings and a moulded sandstone base and stem. Memorials include a brass to William Sumaster d.1589, and a white marble wall monument to Jane Pownall d.1770 Stained glass in east window by Beer of Exeter.
