St Francis of Assisi, Sycamore Road, Bournville, Birmingham B30 2AA View on map

Church of 1925 by W Alexander Harvey. Stands in the centre of the model village of Bournville village which was built by George Cadbury around the chocolate factory. Simple basilica architecture with a light and spacious interior.


Opening Arrangements

Monday - Friday, 9am-3pm (mainly during term times) via the church office or St Francis Youth & Community Centre. Also many Saturday afternoons, 2pm-4pm, provided there are stewards available to open the church.


A458 from Shrewsbury. From Telford leave J6 M54 and take A5223 then A4169. Rail: Telford Central, 8 miles (no station in Much Wenlock). Bus: from Shrewsbury no. 436 (Shrewsbury-Much Welock-Bridgnorth); from Telford no. 88A (Telford-Much Wenlock-Bridgnorth) and no. 88 (Telford-Much Wenlock)
