St George, Beverley Gardens, Cullercoats, Tyne and Wear NE30 4NS View on map

Grade I listed parish church, designed by J L Pearson and built for the 6th Duke of Northumberland as a memorial to his father. Cruciform in shape it has a transeptal tower with broach spire to the south. Interior has three chapels and seating for around 650 people.


Opening Arrangements

Daily: 9am - 5pm.


South of Cullercoats village on the seafront between Tynemouth and Whitley Bay. Rail: Cullercoats metro station (approximately half a mile). Bus: Service No 1 from North Shields, No 1a, 306 and 333 (nearest bus stop is half a mile away as bus stops at Beverley Terrace-Gardens and Sea Life Centre are no longer in use)
