Prominent village centre former collegiate church of Saxon origins. Late 13th century chancel, remainder rebuilt by John Turner using some of the medieval stonework. Wide five bay nave with corresponding aisles with clerestories. Norman font, Jacobean panelling. Notable marble and mosaic reredos by G E Street c1866. Re-vamped west end is used for community activities.
