15th century church with extensive additions and alterations of 1870 in Gothic Revival style. Fine memorial altar tomb in the chancel to Jane Done d.1662, Mary Crewe d.1690, and her granddaughter Mary Knightley who died as a child in 1674. The three figures are in white marble on a black base, the adults recumbent and the child standing holding flowers.
The church is open everyday from 9am until 4pm throughout the year except between Boxing day and New Years day when it can be opened by prior arrangement
A51 from Chester, Tarporley is off the A49 and the church is in the centre of the village, set back from the High Street. Rail: Coddington (approximately 5 miles). Bus: No 84 from Chester.
