Earliest reference c1235. Old church replaced c1500 and 1846. Only separate bell tower remains of c1500 church. Internally - Norman font, Royal Arms of George I, memorials to Bassets (mining) and Collins (clerics). Externally - large churchyard, graves of Thomas Merritt, (composer) and airmen of WWII. Churchyard records available.


Opening Arrangements

Almost every Thursday morning 9am - 12pm (3 hours) - Almost every Friday afternoon for 3 hours, also open at other times.


Proceed north from Illogan Village crossroads, via Robartes Terrace and Church Road. Rail: Redruth (3.5 miles). Bus: First Devon & Cornwall service No's 40, 46 and 47 hourly.
