St James, Briarwood Road

St James, Briarwood Road, Lambeth, London SW4 9PB View on map

The church was rebuilt in the 1950's, after the original church was bombed during the war. The architect was Nugent Cachemaille - Day. Features include stained glass windows with the west window being dedicated to those who died in the World Wars.

Fridays 11am - 5pm (except Good Friday and the Friday after Christmas)


The church can be accessed via Park Hill and Briarwood Road in Clapham. It is located in residential roads. Rail: Clapham High Street (0.8 miles). Bus: route 37 from Putney Heath, 137 from Telford Avenue, 355 Three Kings Pond, 417 from Crystal Palace bus station, 35 from Grant Road.
