St James, Eccles Old Road

Built in 1861, in the English Gothic style of the 15th century. The overall dimensions are; 132ft long, 75ft wide and 49ft at the apex of the nave. The bell tower and spire has a height of 160ft. There are some magnificent glass windows.

Sunday 10.30am - 12pm. Wednesday 9am and 5pm with tea and biscuits on offer free of charge.. Church is open by appointment any time during daylight hours.

Junction 2, M602, take the A576 towards Salford. After 3rd set of traffic lights, turn right into Vicarage Close, car park gate is on the right. Rail: Eccles (0.7 miles). Bus: Routes 10, 27, 67, 110 (from Manchester).
